Editorial policy

How we work

Our articles are researched against published studies, clinical guidelines and recognised health organisations. We cite our sources at the end of every article, and we link to them so you can check our work.

Medical review

Articles that discuss symptoms, conditions, treatments or supplements are reviewed by a qualified health professional before publication. The reviewer is named on the article.

What we don't do

  • We don't give personal medical advice. Our content is general information.
  • We don't let advertisers or partners decide what we write or change our editorial conclusions.
  • We don't present commercial content as independent. Where we have a commercial interest in a product we cover, it is disclosed on that page — see our advertising & ownership disclosure.

Corrections

If we get something wrong, we correct the article and note the update date. Spotted an error? Tell us — we aim to review correction requests within five working days.
